making my own food never really occurred to me but the books got me interested. it makes total sense though. i can control exactly what goes into his food and its so much more economical.
this weekend i got a brand new toy. the beaba babycook baby food maker. grayson and i headed to the grocery store and combed the organic food section. i spent the afternoon steaming, pureeing and freezing sweet potatoes, carrots and spaghetti squash. it made so much food.
as far as the product itself goes i would highly recommend it. it steams and purees the food all right in the one device. you can use the water from the steam to help puree the food (the puree function does not work well unless you use plenty of water) and not loose any nutrients. two thumbs up!
I have had a babycook for a few months now and just love it!
ReplyDeleteToday I'll be steaming some broccoli and cauliflower as well as making mixed vegetables and peach purees!
I have been debating on whether to make my own baby food. is it really time comsuming...because the last thing I want to do all day sunday is spend it in the kitchen. and how do you like that cook book you posted...is it worth it?
